What Makes This Fellowship Different

Real Production Experience

Fellows don’t work on hypothetical assignments. They contribute to active City Kidz NexGen Animation Studios productions, helping create characters, stories, animation assets, marketing content, and production materials that support projects intended for festivals, streaming platforms, digital distribution, and future franchise development.

Depending on their skills and interests, Fellows may contribute in areas including

Content Creation

A Selective Global Program

The Fellowship is designed to bring together a cohort of highly motivated creators who demonstrate talent, initiative, professionalism, and alignment with the program’s mission.

Candidates are identified through universities, industry networks, creative communities, portfolio reviews, and professional referrals. Participation is by invitation and application, and not every applicant will be accepted.

More than 450 individuals have applied, and the inaugural class will include 15 applicants, with 21 waitlisted for future spots.

Industry Mentorship

Fellows gain exposure to animation professionals, studio leaders, educators, and creative mentors who provide insight into both the creative and business sides of the industry.

Industry partners may support the Fellowship through mentorship, guest instruction, technical guidance, equipment support, and sponsorship.

Build a Professional Portfolio

Fellows gain valuable production experience while building portfolios, developing collaborative skills, expanding professional networks, and strengthening their readiness for careers in animation, film, gaming, and digital media.
